The Role:
Our client is looking for a bright, professional, team orientated Conveyancing Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidate will need to possess enthusiasm, a pro-active approach, the ability to adapt and learn quickly and a strong interest in property law.
Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls and other communications, responding to queries promptly, with the support of others where required.
- Preparing, receiving and verifying new client care park electronically, working closely with Solicitors and Fee Earners to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Verification of identification and source of funds for all new clients.
- Completing Title Checks under the direction of a Fee Earner.
- Updating the case management system proactively to ensure all matters accurately reflect current status.
- Completing tasks assigned by Fee Earner or other team members to ensure a smooth and swift service to clients.
- Working with third party stakeholders to develop business relationships by providing excellent customer service.
Skills and Requirements:
- You must be self-motivated and can efficiently organise yourself, being able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
- An interest in Property Law is essential.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages is essential.
- Previous experience working in an office role would be ideal but is not essential.
- You should be practical and able to employ a commonsense approach.
- A positive "can do" attitude is key to their culture and business model.
